CARRY HOPE WITH YOU
Spark of Hope Instructions
You’ve Been Chosen to Spark Hope
Congratulations! You’ve been selected to bring hope to someone in our community on behalf of Fund a Life.
One of the most beautiful things about the Spark of Hope program is that it’s all about trusting your heart. There’s no rulebook or checklist. Just you, carrying a spark of hope and staying open to the world around you. When the right moment comes, you’ll feel it.
Here’s how to know who to give your medal to:
-
You might not know the person’s full story, but sometimes, you just get that feeling. Maybe it’s the cashier who looks like they’re having a tough day, or a stranger you strike up a conversation with who shares something that tugs at your heart. Trust that inner nudge — it’s often the most reliable guide.
-
Often, people who need hope the most aren’t the ones asking for it. You may notice someone quietly struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or simply going through a rough time. When you sense that someone could use a boost, that’s your moment to step in with the Spark of Hope.
-
Carrying the medal means staying open to the people and situations around you. Whether you’re grabbing coffee, running errands, picking your kids up from school, or out with friends — someone may cross your path when you least expect it. When you’re present and paying attention, the right moment will often reveal itself in surprising ways.
-
Don’t overthink it! The beauty of this program is in the human connection. The person you choose may not be in the most desperate situation, but they’re still deserving of that spark. If you feel a pull toward someone, trust that they’re the one. The act of giving the medal, and the moment you share, will speak louder than words.
-
Handing over the medal might feel a little intimidating at first, but know that you’re making a profound difference. It’s a moment of pure kindness, and it might be just what that person needs to get through a tough time.
-
If you’re able to, we’d love for you to capture that magical moment when you pass the medal on to someone. It doesn’t have to be fancy—a quick video or even a thoughtful reflection will do. Sharing these stories helps show just how far the Spark of Hope can spread, inspiring others to be part of this mission.
