My Life Was Funded.

What if, two weeks after your first child was born, you were given only a few weeks to live?

What would you do? Who would you turn to?

In 2012, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma, two short weeks after my oldest son was born. My wife Christina and I were in the dark, overwhelmed, facing unimaginable physical and financial obstacles…and that’s when our local Brighton community stepped in.

Friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, and complete strangers raised over $200,000 for me and my family to go outside the restrictions of our health insurance in search of a treatment - in search of a cure.

Twelve years later, I am still here - a walking, breathing, real-life miracle. I have defied all of the odds the doctors laid out for me. Although it took much more than money to save my life, the money provided key resources and precious hope that took all of the unneeded stress out of the most stressful of situations.

To simply say ‘thank you’ has never felt like enough. In 2017, I founded Fund a Life, and my THANK YOU to everyone who helped us now comes in the form of dedication.

Dedication to Fund a Life. Dedication to raising money year-round, so that more lives will receive hope in the form of funding. Dedication to use my journey to benefit others. Dedication to work harder, so that no life goes without hope when needed most.

Dedication to Shining Light in the Darkest Moments.

Thank you for going along this journey with me. Without people like you - our donors, our supporters, and valued members of our Fund a Life community - none of this would be possible.

With Shining Light,

A Story of Hope

From weeks to live, to twelve years alive. I am here to help fund lives.

This is the story of the journey that started it all, told directly by myself and my wife Christina. We share our journey through the impossible, and what inspired us to launch Fund a Life.
