The 2nd Annual 5k Run/1 Mile Walk + Yoga event is again taking place the same weekend as one of Brighton's best downtown festivals, Taste of Brighton!
Put your 5k running shoes to the test by competing in our run through the neighborhoods of downtown Brighton including a stretch through a shutdown main street for the event, or enjoy a nice 1 mile scenic walk starting at Brighton high school through a nature trail behind the school. Both courses plotted and lead by local running experts, Running Lab. Both heats are followed by an hour session of Yoga brought to you by Brighton Yoga Center to cool the body back down for the start of a great weekend!
This 2nd Annual version of the event promises to be even better than our inaugural year. New features such as professional timing, greater local partnerships and sponsorships, and an expected participant pool to more than double from last year's event are just a couple of the exciting enhancements to this year's event!
So lace up the shoes, grab your yoga mat, and tell your family and friends to register today to join us on Saturday, July 14th for a rewarding day full of fitness, fun, fundraising to help support our powerful mission, and (probably) some food in downtown following the event! Signup below today!

The Hero Round Table is the only conference in the world dedicated entirely to talking about heroism and the people performing heroic deeds. The event invites people from very different backgrounds and walks of life. Like in the famous TED conferences, the speakers present short talks to communicate their core message. Hero Round Table speakers also spend time with the audience by having lunch together, grabbing a drink, and signing books. In addition, the conference is complemented by workshops where participants can choose in which topics they want to delve further.
The Hero Round Table returns to Michigan for the fifth year in a row. Livingston County is the perfect spot to bring together people from around the world and we're proud to call it home. http://heroroundtable.com/michigan
